The Virginia Policy Review is based at the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. We engage real-world challenges across disciplines, from energy and the environment to public health, institutions, and national security.
Founded in the fall of 2009, VPR has spent more than fifteen years curating meaningful insights on the issues shaping public life. After a pause during the pandemic, the journal was revived by a new generation of editors committed to rigorous, evidence-based analysis and genuine engagement across disciplines and across the aisle.
We publish a journal each year, available in print and online, alongside Beyond Bias, our platform for short-form opinion and analysis, and Academical Angle, our podcast on policy, place, and the people who shape both.
